Team meet to update our presentation to include our vocational visits whilst we’ve been here. Fortunately we had use of an extra laptop and wireless internet which made the job easier and quicker. Then to BMICH temporary conference centre for the Conference Inauguration. Full of dignitaries from RI and District – Shekhar Mehta and Ann Rashi included - with Kandyan drummers, modern dancers and vocalists interspersed among speeches. What was originally a 4.00 to 6.00 session turned out to be 3.30 – 8.00. I was particularly struck by the input of Mr Milinda Morogada on ‘Building bridges – the healing of a Nation’. Unfortunately Emily unwell and went home early as did Jenny who’s also under the weather – hopefully a good night’s sleep will sort them out.
